Host Morrisville State College women’s volleyball appeared for the first time on the Mustangs newly renovated court and didn’t hesitate as they claimed a convincing 3-0 victory over visiting Paul Smith College Friday evening in Morrisville.
The Mustangs improve to 5-13 overall with the win, while the Bobcats drop to 3-15.

Hilary Corna, national speaker and author of One White Face, will give a presentation on Oct. 22 at the Morrisville State College campus.
The presentation, “Create Your Own Opportunity and Embrace Your Potential: I Dare You” will be held at 1 p.m. in the Little Theatre of the John W. Stewart Center for Student Activities (STUAC).

The Morrisville State College athletics department has named freshman Kylie Murphy (Nichols, N.Y.) and sophomore Gilroy Alvarez (Guatemala) the Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending October 7.
Murphy, freshman outside hitter for the women’s volleyball team, completed the week with 30 kills, 10 service aces and 57 defensive digs to lead the Mustangs.

Morrisville State College head ice hockey coach, Brian Grady, has announced his resignation after five seasons at the helm of the program.
Under direction of Grady, the Mustangs posted an overall record of 35-88-3, as he guided the program to the State University of New York Athletic Conference play-offs twice.

Kaitlin Kozole and Desirae Holmes each netted two goals for the Nittany Lions, as they defeated host Morrisville State College 6-0 on Sunday afternoon in Morrisville.
Penn State Abington scored just 3:34 into the match, as Kaitlin Kozole scorched a shot past Mustangs goalkeeper Jennifer Zidzik from the top of the 18 yard box. Alyssa Kaye scored next for Abington off of a Brittany Palmer corner kick at 26:45, giving the Nittany Lions a 2-0 lead going into halftime.

The Mustangs improve to 9-3-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the conference as the Nittany Lions fall to 8-1 overall and 6-1 in conference play.

Penn State Berks scored a goal in each half to secure a 2-0 victory over host Morrisville State in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) women’s soccer action Saturday afternoon in Morrisville.
After playing a scoreless first 30 minutes, Meaghan Daly put the Nittany Lions on the board at 30:33. Emma Babp scored the second Berks goal at 75:20, locking up the 2-0 victory for the 9-2 Nittany Lions. Chelsea Ray was credited with both assists.

The Morrisville State men’s soccer team defeated the visiting Penn State Berks Nittany Lions 3-0 Saturday afternoon in their first annual IACKids game. On top of earning the win, the Mustangs also raised money and awareness for the Italian American Coalition for Kids (IACKids) not-for-profit organization.

Visiting SUNY Cortland field hockey team cruised to a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) victory Saturday morning, topping host Morrisville State College 7-0 in Morrisville.
Morrisville State drops to 2-12 overall, 0-5 in conference play, while Cortland improves to 6-4 overall, 3-1 in SUNYAC action.
Erin Smith and Sara Woodward each notched two goals apiece to lead Cortland in the win, as three additional teammates tallied scores.

The Mustangs topped the Lakers 25-22 in the first match before falling 13-25, 20-25 and 19-25 in the next three in the loss.

Despite giving up the first goal to Alfred University, the Morrisville State College men’s soccer team came back with three unanswered goals, to beat the Saxons 3-1 in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon.
After playing a scoreless first 30 minutes, Alfred University struck first when freshman Nicholas Carey scored off a pass from senior forward Eric Rockwood, giving the Saxons a 1-0 lead going into halftime.

The women's volleyball team won its second match in a row as the Hawks defeated SUNY Morrisville 3-1 (25-15, 25-17, 26-28, 25-18) on Tuesday evening at Lambros Arena on Dig Pink Night. With the win, Hartwick's record is now 5-11 while the Mustangs fall to 3-9.
