Oswego takes 3-1 match win over Morrisville State volleyball

Visiting Oswego State dropped the first match and rallied to win the next three, claiming the 3-1 match win over Morrisville State College Wednesday night in Morrisville.

Morrisville State drops to 3-10 overall, while Oswego pulls even at 9-9.

The Mustangs topped the Lakers 25-22 in the first match before falling 13-25, 20-25 and 19-25 in the next three in the loss.

Kylie Murphy (Nichols, N.Y.) and Dayna Scurry (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led Morrisville State’s efforts with seven kills while Tiffany Jones-Maxwell (Hamilton, N.Y.) added six. Lindsay Easterly (Cazenovia, N.Y.) had 22 assists.

Murphy led the defensive efforts for the Mustangs, recording 13 digs, while Jackie Saddlemire (Knox, N.Y.) added eight.

Morrisville State returns to the court Saturday, traveling to Cazenovia for North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) pool play.
