Beginning in the Fall 2019 semester, SUNY Morrisville will no longer require uninsured or underinsured domestic students to purchase the college’s health insurance plan as a condition of enrollment. This decision is the result of an internal review of the requirement’s effect on attending students and external review of SUNY-wide practices. Students who currently have a college health insurance plan will retain coverage through July 31, 2019.
This policy change does not apply to student-athletes or to international students. Students actively participating on an athletics team will need to maintain health insurance coverage to remain compliant with NCAA regulations.
