Why SUNY Morrisville Criminal Justice?

Our A.A.S. degree program will train you for a role in criminal justice with courses in policing, corrections, investigation, criminal law and the judicial system, as well as the necessary liberal arts and sciences classes. Investigative procedures including fingerprinting, crime scene management, evidence collection, and use of law enforcement and correctional equipment are part of hands-on training right here on campus.

In recent years, the need for police and security officers has increased significantly along with professional expectations and performance standards. Our program is designed for students seeking entry-level employment in the criminal justice field and for current employees interested in advancement.

Take your experience even further by joining the Criminal Justice Club, which hosts guest speakers who expose students to varying professions, travel and volunteerism. The club also holds an annual simulated crime-scene investigation competition to put your skills to the test.

Join the college’s Simulator Team or the Crime Scene Team to help develop your field expertise, take part in training events and help teach fellow classmates.  We also hold strong partnerships with numerous state, county and municipal law enforcement agencies.

Students have the option to continue their studies through the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree program in criminal justice offered on the SUNY Morrisville campus.

Offered at both the SUNY Morrisville and Norwich campuses.
