Why SUNY Morrisville Automotive Management?
During the first two years of study, the B.B.A. program combines an emphasis in automotive and business management. In the junior and senior years, students will continue with business management but with a concentration on automotive management with courses in automotive shop management, automotive fleet management and automotive parts management and merchandising.
Live laboratory classes in automotive management areas such as parts, shop, fleet and merchandising are combined with courses in accounting, business administration, economics, computer science and mathematics to equip you with a vast array of expertise as you enter the automotive industry. A required internship in a business related to the automotive or transportation industry also prepares you for immediate entry into the workforce, with the potential to lead directly to your first employment opportunity.
SUNY Morrisville offers leading-edge technology in all aspects of advanced diagnostics, repair, and customer service and inventory control. You will be taught and work in our state-of-the-art facilities set up just like automotive dealerships and body shops to provide true-to-life experiences through numerous repair stations, a parts department, a live service desk and a vehicle showroom.
You will learn from our accomplished faculty, who have worked in the industry and maintain contacts with automotive companies and support industries for all makes and models. Partnerships with industry leaders such as Fiat Chrysler, Ford and Subaru support the learning environment with new technology, vehicles and factory certifications.
Students can choose to join SUNY Morrisville’s Automotive Club to extend their knowledge of the automotive industry through video tutorials, professional engineers and field trips. Open to the entire student body, the Automotive Club supports a fall and spring car show on campus each year and participates in the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) automotive trade show.
