Mechanize your options.
SUNY Morrisville’s agricultural mechanics Associate in Occupational Studies (A.O.S.) degree program is designed for mechanically inclined students looking to find immediate employment in the field or boost their skills before returning to the farm.
Why SUNY Morrisville Agricultural Mechanics?
Our two-year A.O.S. degree program consists almost entirely of courses in mechanics and agriculture — with no course requirements for liberal arts and general studies. The curriculum includes equipment care & maintenance, diesel electronics, metals, basic hydraulics and renewable energy resources.
Choose from general electives as well as field-of-study electives in agricultural business, agricultural science (agronomy), animal science, automotive mechanics, dairy equipment technology, horticulture and small power equipment.
Students can enhance their academic work through participation in the Agricultural Engineering Club, Collegiate Future Farmers of America (FFA), Dairy Club, Dairy Judging Team, Autumn Review Sale, National Agriculture Day, Showmanship Contest and the Northeast Regional Dairy Challenge.
If you plan to seek a managerial position in agricultural mechanics or engineering, our Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in agricultural engineering technology may be more appropriate for your needs and will also prepare you for successful transfer into a bachelor’s degree program.
