Morrisville State women's soccer defeated by Penn State Abington 6-0

Kaitlin Kozole and Desirae Holmes each netted two goals for the Nittany Lions, as they defeated host Morrisville State College 6-0 on Sunday afternoon in Morrisville.

Penn State Abington scored just 3:34 into the match, as Kaitlin Kozole scorched a shot past Mustangs goalkeeper Jennifer Zidzik from the top of the 18 yard box. Alyssa Kaye scored next for Abington off of a Brittany Palmer corner kick at 26:45, giving the Nittany Lions a 2-0 lead going into halftime.

Desirae Holmes opened the second half with her first of two goals just 25 seconds into the half. Holmes scored her second goal under five minutes later. Brittany Palmer scored the final goal for Abington at 76:37.

Morrisville State struggled to create scoring opportunities, recording only three shots.

Jennifer Zidzik (Lambertville, N.J.) recorded the loss for the Mustangs, tallying 10 saves. Gabrielle Benedict earned the win for Penn State Abington with two saves.

Morrisville State is back in action on Sunday, October 13 at 1:00 P.M. as they travel to play conference rival Gallaudet.
