The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its Men's Ice Hockey Players of the Week, naming Morrisville State College freshman forward, Patrick Stillar (Burlington, ONT), its Rookie of the Week for the week ending November 27. He earns the honor for a second time, earning Rookie of the Week honors on November 13.

Sophomore Brandon Hanks (Syracuse, NY) netted a collegiate high 26 points and junior Andrew Lucio (Solvay, NY) added 20, as Morrisville State College men's basketball picked up a 91-83 non-conference victory over visiting SUNY Canton Tuesday night in Morrisville. Morrisville State improves to 2-3 overall, while Canton drops to 4-2.

The Morrisville State College field hockey team will be collecting donations of non-perishable items to support the local food pantry from now until December 10. The local food pantry provides meal items to nearly 120 families each month, serving about 325 total individuals in the Morrisville-Eaton and Stockbridge Valley school districts.

Nationally ranked third, Castleton State University ice hockey battled to a 4-3 victory over visiting Morrisville State College Sunday afternoon, clinching the Rutland Herald Invitational Championship at the Spartan Arena in Rutland, Vermont. Morrisville State dropped to 2-5-1 overall, as Alex Tillaart (Ashburn, ONT) earned All-Tournament Team honors. Castleton remains undefeated at 9-0. Matthew Beer (Corunna, ONT) led the Mustangs with two goals, while Patrick Stillar (Burlington, ONT) posted a goal and assist.

Visiting Morrisville State College ice hockey capitalized on 2-of-6 power play opportunities to claim the 4-2 non-conference victory over Tufts University Saturday afternoon at the Spartan Arena in the first round of the Rutland Herald Invitational hosted by Castleton in Rutland, Vermont. Morrisville State improved to 2-4-1 overall and advances to the championship game tomorrow at 3 p.m. against the winner of the Castleton/Becker match-up being played tonight.

Visiting Morrisville State College men's basketball shot just 38 percent from the floor, falling to Hamilton College Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action in Clinton. The loss drops the Mustangs to 1-3 overall. Hamilton remains perfect at 3-0. Mickey Davis (Jamesville, NY) led Morrisville State with 20 points and six rebounds while Kucjok Ater (Syracuse, NY) added 11 points and five boards. David Cerasani (Beaver Meadow, NY) contributed eight points to the Mustang efforts.

The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) office announced the 2011 Football All-Conference Teams, naming three from Morrisville State to its honorable mention team. Sophomore Nate Ryan (Staten Island, NY) started all 10 games for the Mustangs on the offensive line, recording two solo and an assisted tackle on the season. Ryan is a two-year starter for the Mustangs on the offensive line. The graduate of Port Richmond High is majoring in criminal justice at Morrisville State. He is the son of Diane and John Ryan of Staten Island, New York.

Sophomore guard Mickey Davis (Jamesville, NY) netted a game high 25 points to lead the Morrisville State College men's basketball team to a 74-72 non-conference victory over Roberts Wesleyan Saturday afternoon at the Medaille College Tip-off Tournament consolation game in Buffalo. Morrisville State picks up their first win of the 2011 season and holds a 1-2 record heading into Tuesday's contest on the road at Hamilton College.

Morrisville State College women's basketball outscored Bard 40-15 in the second half enroute to a 60-35 victory Saturday afternoon at the Kevin Fee/Roo Classic Basketball Tournament held at SUNY Canton. Morrisville State improves to 1-2 overall with the victory. Nijah Townsend (Bronx, NY) led Morrisville State with 18 points and seven rebounds, netting 11 points in the second half, while Nijee Scott (Bronx, NY) and Dyshea Smiley (Harlem, NY) each added 11 total. Scott also had four assists and Smiley five steals.

Visiting Morrisville State College women's basketball dropped their second straight contest of the 2011-12 season, falling by a 68-57 final to SUNY Potsdam at the Kevin Fee/Roo Classic Tournament held at SUNY Canton Friday night. Morrisville State drops to 0-2 overall. Potsdam led 31-25 at the half, and came out in the second on fire, going on a 20-5 run over the Mustangs enroute to the non-conference victory.
