Morrisville State has three named NJAC Football All-Conference

The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) office announced the 2011 Football All-Conference Teams, naming three from Morrisville State to its honorable mention team.



Sophomore Nate Ryan (Staten Island, NY) started all 10 games for the Mustangs on the offensive line, recording two solo and an assisted tackle on the season. Ryan is a two-year starter for the Mustangs on the offensive line.



The graduate of Port Richmond High is majoring in criminal justice at Morrisville State. He is the son of Diane and John Ryan of Staten Island, New York.



Senior defensive end, Dexter Galette (Spring Valley, NY) also earned honorable mention honors, after wrapping up his final season with 43 total tackles, 23 solo stops. Galette posted four tackles for a loss of 18 yards, including two sacks for a loss of 15 yards, recovered a fumble and recorded one break up on the season in 10 games for the Mustangs. Galette ranked fourth on the team in tackles this season.



The graduate of Ramapo High is majoring in liberal arts and sciences: math and science at Morrisville State. He is the son of Mona Galette and Jean Talamos of Spring Valley, New York.



Sophomore Jeremy Stewart (Moravia, NY) earned honorable mention honors at safety for the Mustangs. In nine games, he recorded 55 total tackles of which 38 were solo. One tackle was for a loss of a yard, while Stewart also forced a fumble, had an interception, broke up five passes, and on special teams, returned a kick for 21 yards.



Stewart ranked 22nd overall in the conference in tackles per game (6.1).



The graduate of Moravia High is majoring in liberal arts and sciences: math and science at Morrisville State. He is the son of Sandra Wilkinson and Charles Stewart of Moravia.



Morrisville State wrapped up the 2011 season with a 1-9 overall record, 1-8 in NJAC action, finishing 9th overall in the standings.
