Sophomore guard Brandon Hanks (Syracuse, N.Y.) poured in 20 points to lead the visiting Morrisville State College men's basketball team to an 80-69 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over host Lancaster Bible College Saturday afternoon in Lancaster. It's the fourth straight victory for the Mustangs who improve to 7-6 overall, and remain undefeated in conference play at 4-0. Lancaster Bible dropped to 2-10 overall, 1-5 in NEAC action.

Ken Stokes is pretty excited about making the four-hour plus trek from Connecticut to Morrisville State College at the end of the month. The 2010 alum is eager to return to his alma mater to participate, along with thousands of others from all over the world, in the 2012 International Game Developers Association (IGDA) Global Game Jam (GGJ) Jan. 27-29. This is the third year Morrisville State College is serving as a host site for the international event, now in its fourth year.

The Morrisville State College athletic department named women's basketball's Nijee Scott (Bronx, N.Y.) and men's basketball's Mickey Davis (Jamesville, N.Y.) the Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 8.

Morrisville State pulls even to 6-6 overall, while remaining undefeated in conference play at 3-0. SUNY IT drops to 1-12 overall, 0-3 in NEAC action.

Visiting Morrisville State College women's basketball dropped a 60-41 decision to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) opponent SUNY IT Wednesday afternoon in Marcy. The loss drops the Mustangs to 2-9 overall, 1-3 in NEAC play, while SUNY IT improves to 9-2 overall. Lyndsey Brognano led all scorers, netting 22 points and grabbing 11 rebounds for the Wildcats while Abbey Hanehan added 17 points, seven boards, and Ashley Schmidt 10 points in the win.

Visiting College of St. Elizabeth women's basketball compiled a seven point lead at the break and maintained the lead in the second half to claim a 63-54 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over host Morrisville State College Saturday afternoon in Morrisville. The Mustangs fall to 1-8 overall, 0-2 in conference play, while St. Elizabeth improves to 5-3, 2-1 in NEAC action.

Elmira College tallied four unanswered goals in the second period to claim the 4-1 victory over Morrisville State College hockey Saturday evening in the consolation round of the Northfield Savings Bank Tournament held at Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont. Morrisville State finished fourth in the tournament, and dropped to a 2-11-1 overall record. Elmira improved to 8-5-1.

Visiting Morrisville State College men's ice hockey tallied two straight scores in the third period, but fell short as top nationally ranked Norwich University collected the 4-2 victory in the opening round at the Northfield Savings Bank Tournament held in Northfield, Vermont Friday night.
