The Morrisville State College men's basketball team finished atop the North Division of the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) standings, earning the right to host the 2012 championship tournament, and will face Penn State Berks in the semifinal round scheduled for Saturday, February 25 on the Morrisville State campus.

The Morrisville State College men's basketball team wrapped up the regular season schedule Saturday afternoon, topping visiting SUNY IT 93-83 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action in Morrisville. Morrisville State improves to 17-8 overall and finishes atop conference play with a 14-1 NEAC record. SUNY IT concludes the season at 5-20 overall, 4-11 in conference action.

The Morrisville State College women's basketball team concluded the 2011-12 season with a 68-61 loss to the visiting SUNY IT Wildcats Saturday afternoon in Northeastern Athletic Conference play. The Mustangs finish at 10-15 overall, 8-9 in NEAC action while the Wildcats are now 20-4, 14-2 in the conference.

The Mustangs ended the season 5-17-1, 4-10-1 SUNYAC while the Golden Eagles were 9-13-3, 5-9-2 SUNYAC.

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) office announced last night that Morrisville State College is the host site of the 2012 Men's Basketball Conference Championship Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26.

The Morrisville State College athletics department has named women's basketball guard Nijee Scott (Bronx, N.Y.) and men's basketball guard Andrew Lucio (Solvay, N.Y.) it's Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending February 12. Scott played a key role in a 3-0 record on the week for the women's team, averaging 14 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 4.0 steals per game for the Mustangs, while shooting 57 percent from the floor on 17-of-30 shots made.

The Morrisville State College western equestrian team finished the regular season Saturday, claiming high point team honors in the morning show and reserve high point team honors in the afternoon at the Morrisville western riding arena.

Junior guard Andrew Lucio (Solvay, N.Y.) chased down an offensive rebound and launched the put back on the baseline to lead Morrisville State College to a 67-65 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over visiting Cazenovia College Saturday afternoon in Morrisville. Morrisville State improves to 15-8 overall with the win, posting a best 12-1 NEAC record. Cazenovia drops to 6-17 overall, 3-10 in conference play.

The Mustangs are now 9-13 overall and 7-7 in the Northeastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) while the Kangaroos dropped to 6-14.

The Morrisville State College men's ice hockey team, together with the Morrisville community, raised more than $3,000 Saturday in the battle against Multiple Sclerosis for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The MS Society helps to get each person challenged by the disease moving through research, advocacy, education, along with programs and services that help those living with MS move their lives forward.

Four tallied double figures as the Morrisville State College women's basketball team handed host Wells College a 61-52 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) defeat Tuesday night in Aurora. Morrisville State improves to 8-13 overall, 7-7 in conference play, while Wells fell to 6-15 overall and 4-9 in the NEAC.

The Morrisville State College men's ice hockey team will take the show on the road Saturday, playing the NCAA match-up against Manhattanville College at the Clinton Arena in a Youth Hockey Organization Fundraiser. Proceeds from gate receipts, raffles, and auctions will benefit the Clinton Youth Hockey Organization.
