Morrisville State concludes the season with an 11-13-1 overall record, making their second SUNYAC Tournament appearance. Plattsburgh (18-7-1) advances to face SUNY Geneseo on Saturday in the semi-final round.
The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its 2010-11 men's basketball conference championship bracket yesterday, seeding Morrisville State College fifth. The Mustangs completed the regular season with a 12-12 overall record, 10-8 in conference play, and will face fourth seed Gallaudet University (16-9, 12-6 NEAC) Friday at 5 p.m. in the quarterfinal round. Gallaudet recorded both wins over the Mustangs during the season, the latest an 85-77 decision in Morrisville.
The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) hockey quarterfinal contest between #4 Plattsburgh State and #5 Morrisville State will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23 at Plattsburgh. Tickets go on-sale to the general public at the Field House Box Office on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. for $5 per person and $2 for SUNY students with valid college identification.
The Morrisville State College wrestling team picked up its second win of the season, topping Scranton University 29-12 at the New York University tri-match on Saturday. Morrisville State tallied seven victories in the 10 weight class match, including a major decision by Peyton Amato (Theresa, NY) at 149 pounds for the 13-6 advantage. After two additional match wins, Josue Cardenas (Port Chester, NY) recorded a pin at 197 pounds in 1:34 to give Morrisville State the 25-12 lead and Todd Hall (Athens, PA) sealed the victory with a major decision at 285 pounds.
The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's ice hockey regular season came to an end Saturday and the top six teams in the standings will now advance to the 2010-2011 tournament. Oswego State closed out the regular season at 22-3-0 overall and 15-1-0 in the SUNYAC standings and will be in the number one seed in the tournament receiving a first round bye. The Blue Knights, who are the No. 2-seed in the SUNYAC Playoffs, will also get a first round bye with a 16-7-2 overall record and 10-5-1 in the league.

Morrisville State improves to 12-12 overall, 10-8 in conference action and await tournament seeding Sunday night. Cobleskill drops to 10-15 overall, and 10-8 in conference play.
The Morrisville State College women's basketball team concluded the 2010-11 season Saturday afternoon, falling to visiting SUNY Cobleskill 55-47 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action in Morrisville. The Mustangs close at 5-20 overall, 5-17 in NEAC play, while Cobleskill improves to 13-12, 12-10 in the conference. Morrisville State pulled to within three with less than four minutes remaining, but Cobleskill used a 5-0 run to secure the win in the closing minute.
Freshman goaltender Kevin Carr (Unionville, ONT) posted his third career shut out Friday night, making 44 saves, as the visiting Buffalo State College Bengals posted a 3-0 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) victory over host Morrisville State at the IcePlex in Morrisville. The loss drops the Mustangs to 11-11-1 overall, 8-6-1 in SUNYAC action, while the Bengals up their record to 12-10-3, 8-5-3 in conference play.
