The Morrisville State College athletic department has named men's lacrosse attackman, Thomas Owens (Cazenovia, NY) the Mustang Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 27. Owens led the Mustangs to a 2-0 week, including a 14-13 upset victory over SUNY Potsdam in overtime on Tuesday. On the week, he tallied seven goals on nine shots, three assists, and five individual ground balls. In the 15-10 conference win over Keuka on Saturday, Owens posted a collegiate best five goals and three assists.
The Morrisville State College women's lacrosse team dropped their fourth straight contest of the 2011 season Wednesday afternoon, falling 23-10 in non-conference action to host SUNY Potsdam in Potsdam. Morrisville State is 0-4 on the season.

The Morrisville State College western equestrian team finished third at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) semi-finals to advance to the National Championships in May. University of Findlay was the show's high point team, followed by Utah State University with 25 points, and Morrisville with 24. CalPoly-San Luis Obispo, University of Minnesota, Centenary, University of Florida and Cincinnati rounded out the final scoring of teams.
The Morrisville State College hunt seat equestrian team completed regular season competition Saturday as the reserve high point team for the season, after earning reserve team honors for the sixth time at the Morrisville State College show on Saturday. Skidmore won the IHSA show with 47 points, followed by Morrisville with 42, Hartwick 31, Colgate 28, Cobleskill 23, Oneonta 23, RPI 17, Siena 17, and Albany 15.
The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team began the road to defending last years conference championship title, handing Keuka College a decisive 15-10 defeat in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action Saturday afternoon on Drake Field in Morrisville. Morrisville State improves to 4-1 overall, 1-0 in conference play. Keuka drops to 1-4, 0-1 in NEAC action.
The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse program has teamed up with the Wounded Warriors Project (WWP), Saturday, April 16 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action against Medaille College, to raise awareness about the program which helps injured service members returning home from battle.
The Morrisville State College athletic department has named short stop, Jessica Rigg (Homer, NY) the Mustang Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 20. Rigg was instrumental to the softball team's 3-5 opening week record, tallying six hits and six runs in 17 at bats. She recorded three RBI's on a double and triple hit, and had three stolen bases. Rigg also accounted for nine put outs and 11 assists.

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team shocked host SUNY Potsdam Tuesday afternoon with a 14-13 overtime victory over the Bears in Potsdam. Morrisville State improves to 3-1 overall with the victory, while Potsdam drops to 3-3. The Mustangs trailed 10-8 heading into the final quarter before rallying for five unanswered scores in the fourth, including one by Andrew Stein (Oswego, NY) with 29 seconds remaining to force the overtime period.
