The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team defeated visiting Wells College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) matchup Friday afternoon, 12-4. The Mustangs are now 6-3 overall and 3-0 in the conference while Wells drops to 3-5, 1-2.

A team of Morrisville State College students brought home a third-place finish from the 11th Annual North American Intercollegiate Dairy Challenge (NAIDC) held recently in Roanoke, Va. The NAIDC is a two-day competition that enables students to apply theory and learning in a real-world situation. It also facilitates an exchange of ideas among students and dairy producers to help maintain and develop the industry.

The Morrisville State College athletics department has named Nicole Duchene (Oneida, N.Y.) and Devin Maxwell (Culver City, Cali.) it's Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending April 1.

Hamdi Ulukaya, founder and president of Chobani, Inc., the parent company for the Chobani brand, will give the keynote address during the ceremony which will take place at 1 p.m. in the Recreation Center.

Senior midfielder Devin Maxwell (Culver City, Cali.) posted a collegiate best five goals, leading visiting Morrisville State College men's lacrosse to a 12-8 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over host Keuka College Saturday afternoon in Keuka. Morrisville State improves to 4-3 overall with the victory and opens the conference schedule with a 1-0 record. Keuka drops to 2-4 overall, 0-1 in NEAC play.

Shelby Wood (Duanesburg, N.Y.) and Jamie Anderson (Harpursville, N.Y.) led the Mustangs with five goals apiece, while Hillary Hartnett (Fairport, N.Y) added four.

Morrisville State College is hosting a lecture by renowned Canadian architect, Douglas Cardinal, on April 25 at 7 p.m. in the Little Theatre of the James W. Stewart Center for Student Activities (STUAC). In 1993, Cardinal was awarded the commission for the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C., which resulted in an outstanding design.

Visiting SUNY Potsdam posted nine straight scores over a span of 13 minutes en route to a 17-10 victory over Morrisville State College women's lacrosse Sunday afternoon in Morrisville. The Mustangs drop to 1-4 overall, while the Bears pull even at 3-3.

The Morrisville State College athletics department has named Lesa Ward (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) and Andrew Stein (Oswego, N.Y.) it's Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 18. Ward was instrumental to a 1-1 week for the women's lacrosse team, recording two team points on a goal and an assist. Against Westfield on Friday, Ward recorded a team best five draw controls, while adding two ground balls and causing a turnover.

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team struggled offensively Wednesday afternoon, suffering a 13-4 setback to non-conference opponent SUNY Potsdam, in Morrisville. Morrisville State drops to 2-2 overall, while Potsdam improves to 2-1. Kyle Nicholas led all scorers on the day, netting four goals for Potsdam as Peter Pike added three tallies, while assisting three others. Mike Quinlan picked up the win in net, making 12 stops.

The Morrisville State College women's lacrosse team earned their first win of the season Saturday afternoon by defeating Alfred University 15-14. The Mustangs and Saxons are now both 1-2 on the season. Leading the Mustangs with four goals was Shelby Wood (Duanesburg, NY) while Hillary Hartnett (Fairport, NY) and Jamie Anderson (Harpursville, NY) each had three goals.

Visiting Westfield State University battled back from a three goal deficit at the break and out scored Morrisville State by five in the second half to claim the 17-15 non-conference victory Friday afternoon in Morrisville. Westfield picked up their first win of the season (1-1), while the Mustangs dropped to 0-2.
