The Morrisville State College women’s lacrosse team posted their sixth straight victory Saturday afternoon, topping visiting Wilson College 23-4 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action on Drake Field in Morrisville.
The Mustangs improve to 7-5 overall, and remain undefeated in conference play at 6-0, while Wilson has yet to capture a win, falling to 0-8 overall, 0-6 in NEAC play.

The Morrisville State College women’s lacrosse team collected their fifth straight victory Friday afternoon, posting a convincing 18-2 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) decision over visiting Lancaster Bible College on Drake Field in Morrisville.
The Mustangs remain untouched in conference play with a 5-0 record, improving their overall record to 6-5. The Chargers fall to 2-11 overall, 1-5 in NEAC action.

Two teams of entrepreneurs from Morrisville State College won top spots in the Mohawk Valley Qualifier of the New York State Business Plan Competition held recently at SUNYIT.
The wins advanced the teams, AutoPrice Negotiators LLC, and Miracles on Lice, to the 2013 New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC), which will be held at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering in Albany on April 26.

The Morrisville State College softball team had thrilling finishes in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) doubleheader against local rival Cazenovia College, sweeping the visitors by a 4-1 and 7-6 final in Morrisville.
The wins boost the Mustangs overall record to 4-10, pulling them even in conference play at 4-4. Cazenovia has yet to notch the first win of the season, dropping to 0-20 overall, 0-6 in NEAC action.

A team of Morrisville State College students brought home a fourth-place finish from the 12th Annual North American Intercollegiate Dairy Challenge (NAIDC) held in Fort Wayne, Ind. April 4-6.
Three Morrisville State College students also participated in the Dairy Academy, which was held in conjunction with the dairy challenge competition.

Host Morrisville State College softball split doubleheader action Sunday afternoon with visiting Wells College, posting a 10-0 victory in the opener before falling 22-15 in an offensive driven second, in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action at the Eaton Street Field in Hamilton.
The split lands Morrisville State with a 2-10 overall record, 2-4 conference record. Wells is 4-6 overall, 4-4 in league play.

The win lifts the Mustangs to 4-5 overall, remaining untouched in conference play with a 3-0 record. Cazenovia drops to 5-4, suffering their first NEAC defeat to fall to a 2-1 conference record.

Looking for a fun activity to do with the whole family? The public is invited to participate in “Don't be a Spectator. Be a Sport,” a family fun night on May 2, from 6-8 p.m. in the recreation center at Morrisville State College in honor of Screen-Free Week.
Screen-Free Week is an annual event in which parents, children, teachers, and others across the nation turn off screen media (TV, video games, computers, cell phones) and celebrate the magic of being unplugged.

A Morrisville State College professor is among those who was recognized during the Alltech North American Lecture Tour.
Dr. Clyde Cranwell, of Morrisville, NY, assistant professor and director of Morrisville State College's thoroughbred racing program, received an agriculture educator award from Alltech during a symposium held in Syracuse, one of 23 stops in the Alltech North American Lecture Tour.

Students at Morrisville State College are rolling up their sleeves to help out on campus and in the community during a month of service which is already in progress.
During the “April Month of Service,” students are performing tasks and services needed by residents in neighboring areas. Events will also roll over into May.

Morrisville State College will host Ag Day on April 18.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Most events will be held in the academic quad (in front of Marshall Hall).
Participants can learn more about agriculture, see horses, dairy cows, sheep and goats, take a hay ride around campus, and sample Morrisville State College's homemade ice cream during the annual event. There will also be face painting.

State Sen. David J. Valesky will address Morrisville State College students during the college's 102nd commencement ceremony May 18 at 1 p.m. in the recreation center.
Valesky, who represents the 53rd Senate District, comprised of Madison County and parts of Oneida and Onondaga counties, was elected to the New York State Senate in November 2004.

The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 2-3 overall on the season including a 0-2 mark in league action while the Mustangs improve to 2-5 overall with a 2-1 mark in NEAC play.

The Morrisville State College athletic department has named hunt seat equine rider, Amanda Varall (Bohemia, N.Y.) and men’s lacrosse goalkeeper Chris Fiore (Staten Island, N.Y.) the Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 30.
Varall claimed the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Zone II Region 3 Regional Title in the walk trot canter class on Saturday at Skidmore College, topping a competitive field of 14.

The current weather system moving through Central New York has forced some spring athletics schedules to change.
Contests scheduled for Wednesday, April 3 have been rescheduled as follows:
- Softball at Cazenovia College has been moved back to Wednesday, April 10 at 3 p.m.
- Men's lacrosse at SUNY Cobleskill has been moved back to Thursday, April 4 at 4 p.m.
