The Morrisville State College women's lacrosse team dominated visiting Penn State Abington Sunday afternoon, by a 21-2 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) final in Morrisville.
The Mustangs improve to 3-4 overall and 2-0 in the conference, while the Nittany Lions drop to 0-6 and 0-2 in conference play.

Senior midfielder Devin Maxwell (Culver City, Cali.) posted a collegiate best five goals, leading visiting Morrisville State College men's lacrosse to a 12-8 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory over host Keuka College Saturday afternoon in Keuka.
Morrisville State improves to 4-3 overall with the victory and opens the conference schedule with a 1-0 record. Keuka drops to 2-4 overall, 0-1 in NEAC play.

The Mustangs improve to 2-4 overall and 1-0 in the conference, while the Soaring Eagles drop to 1-4, 0-1 in NEAC play. Shelby Wood (Duanesburg, N.Y.) and Jamie Anderson (Harpursville, N.Y.) led the Mustangs with five goals apiece, while Hillary Hartnett (Fairport, N.Y) added four.

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team beat host Vassar College Wednesday night, 8-7. The Mustangs are now 3-3 overall while Vassar drops to 2-5. Jack Martocello (Miller Place, N.Y.) led the Mustangs with four goals while Jeremy Beresovoy (Jamesville, N.Y.) chipped in three goals and Nick Farruggio (Lafayette, N.Y.) had the last goal for Morrisville.

Morrisville State College is hosting a lecture by renowned Canadian architect, Douglas Cardinal, on April 25 at 7 p.m. in the Little Theatre of the James W. Stewart Center for Student Activities (STUAC).
In 1993, Cardinal was awarded the commission for the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C., which resulted in an outstanding design.

The Morrisville State College athletics department has named Lesa Ward (South Glens Falls, N.Y.) and Andrew Stein (Oswego, N.Y.) it's Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 18.
Ward was instrumental to a 1-1 week for the women's lacrosse team, recording two team points on a goal and an assist. Against Westfield on Friday, Ward recorded a team best five draw controls, while adding two ground balls and causing a turnover.

The Morrisville State College men's lacrosse team struggled offensively Wednesday afternoon, suffering a 13-4 setback to non-conference opponent SUNY Potsdam, in Morrisville.
Morrisville State drops to 2-2 overall, while Potsdam improves to 2-1.
Kyle Nicholas led all scorers on the day, netting four goals for Potsdam as Peter Pike added three tallies, while assisting three others. Mike Quinlan picked up the win in net, making 12 stops.

The Mustangs and Saxons are now both 1-2 on the season. Visiting Westfield State University battled back from a three goal deficit at the break and out scored Morrisville State by five in the second half to claim the 17-15 non-conference victory Friday afternoon in Morrisville.
Westfield picked up their first win of the season (1-1), while the Mustangs dropped to 0-2.

The Morrisville State College athletics department has named Keely O'Hara (Cazenovia, N.Y.) it's Mustang Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 11.
O'Hara notched two blue ribbons in the final hunt seat equestrian show on Saturday, claiming the top honor in the open equitation on the flat and open equitation over fences classes, while qualifying for the regional championships in both.

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today the 2012 NABC Division III All-District teams and coaches, naming Morrisville State sophomore Mickey Davis (Jamesville, N.Y. / Jamesville-DeWitt) to its East All-District second team.
The NABC recognizes the best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division, as selected by member coaches of the association.

After nearly a decade of planning and fundraising, the Morrisville State College Equine Rehabilitation Center (MSCERC) recently welcomed its first horses.
A public open house is scheduled for April 28, from noon to 3 p.m., at the modern facility which offers equipment and rehabilitation techniques to keep healthy horses conditioned and to help injured equine athletes recover, post-injury or post-surgery.

The Morrisville State College hunt seat team finished the regular season Saturday, recording 35 team points to claim third place at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association invitational held in Morrisville.
Skidmore and Colgate topped the team competition with 39 team points to claim the show's top honors.

Morrisville State College's Office of Workforce and Development will host a job expo, A Pathway to Success, in the Hamilton Hall gym on March 28, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
During the expo, representatives from various companies will be available to answer questions about their organizations, hiring practices, and potential part- and full-time positions and internships they have available. The event is free and open to the public.
