With time running out during Tuesday afternoon's pivotal North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) showdown with Morrisville State, the Keuka College men's soccer team got a huge tying goal late in regulation to keep its postseason dreams alive. The Storm (8-4-2, 5-3-1 NEAC) rallied to earn a point with a hard-fought 2-2 overtime draw with the Mustangs on a windy afternoon at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.

The Wells College women's soccer team scored less than two minutes into play and held on to defeat the visiting Morrisville State Mustangs 4-3 in North Eastern Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon in Aurora. Paige Stone (Madison, N.Y.) scored two goals, Shannon Blanford (Fayetteville, N.Y.) added one goal and two assists, and Savannah Tucker (Rochester, N.Y.) chipped in with one goal to lead the Express.

The Morrisville State College hunt seat equestrian team compiled 32 team points Saturday to open the 2011-12 season with reserve team honors at the Skidmore Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) event in Saratoga Springs.
Skidmore was show champion with 46 team points, followed by Morrisville and Hartwick each with 32.

The Morrisville State Mustangs men's soccer team battle back from a 1-0 first half deficit to stun the Wells College Express 2-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action Saturday afternoon in Aurora. Matt Doran (Marathon, N.Y.) scored the go ahead goal with less than three minutes remaining to pace the Mustangs (4-8-3, 4-3-2 NEAC). Jonathan Mulcahey (Fulton, N.Y.) scored the lone goal for the Express, who fell to 6-9 (3-5 NEAC) on the year.

The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) released its 2011-12 preseason men's ice hockey poll coaches poll, ranking Morrisville State College sixth overall.
Oswego earned the top spot, followed by Plattsburgh, Geneseo, Fredonia and Buffalo State. Brockport is ranked seventh, followed by Cortland and Potsdam.

The Morrisville State men's soccer team fell to the D'Youville Spartans this afternoon, 2-1.
The Mustangs record is now 3-8-3 overall and 3-3-2 in conference play.
D'Youville scored first after they were awarded a penalty kick after the Mustangs' were issued a red card for a handball inside the penalty box. Neil Janes took the penalty kick for the Spartans, beating goalkeeper Shane Sullivan at 23:03.

The Morrisville State College athletic department has named Sanley Pierre-Louis (Gaithersburg, MD) the male athlete of the week and Erin Rundle (Marathon, NY) and Rebecca Quackenbush (Barker, NY) the co-female athletes of the week for the week ending October 16.
Pierre-Louis led the men's soccer team in the 4-1 win over Gallaudet, recording two goals, including the game winner as the men's team improved to 3-3-2 in conference play on Sunday.

Morrisville State College freshman runner, Amanda Hunt (Laceyville, PA) has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 16.
At the CCOC Championships held at William Smith College on Saturday, Hunt finished the race in 14th position out of 126 runners with a time of 22:02.32 to lead the women's team to an eighth overall finish in the 5k race.

Junior Sara Woodward (Ancram/Pine Plains) scored three goals as Cortland shut out visiting Morrisville State, 7-0. The Red Dragons finish the SUNYAC regular season with a 6-0 record and are 10-3 overall after their ninth straight win.
Cortland's 14th-year head coach Cynthia Wetmore became the school's victory leader with the win. Her career record is 218-51, surpassing the 217 victories amassed by Pat Rudy from 1981-95.

Clarkson won the invitational with 32 team points, followed by Hartwick with 64. SUNY IT edged Morrisville State for third with 110 points, as the Mustangs tallied 115 for fourth place.

The 2011 Morrisville State College Dairy judging team completed another successful year, placing in several competitions.
Members of the judging team were: Tyler Clark, of Cambridge; Mike Laspada, of Clymer; Patrick Sweatman, of Sherman, all animal science—dairy associate degree majors; and Courtney Furst, of Moravia, a dairy management, bachelor degree major. All are active participants in the college's Dairy Club.

The five-day course will be offered Nov. 7-11 and again Jan. 9-13, 2012, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
