Freshman Amanda Hunt (Laceyville, PA) finished 14th out of 126 runners to lead the Morrisville State College women's cross country team to an 8th place overall finish at the CCOC Championships held at Saranac Lake State Park Saturday afternoon in Geneva.
William Smith won the invitational, compiling just 45 team points, while Clarkson took second with 54. Morrisville State tallied 240 to secure the eighth place team position.
Hunt completed the 5K race in 22:02.23 before teammate D'Ashley Landry (Lake Grove, NY) crossed the line second for the Mustangs, with an individual place finish of 56th in 24:18.68.
Victoria Lanquah (Bronx, NY) was 58th overall with a time of 24:31.57, while teammate Kristen Offringa (Napanoch, NY) crossed in 74th position at 25:15.75. Brittany Ellis (Camillus, NY) rounded out team scoring with a time of 28:01.31, crossing the line in 95th.
Morrisville State returns to the courses October 22 at RPI.
