The Morrisville State College athletic department has named Sanley Pierre-Louis (Gaithersburg, MD) the male athlete of the week and Erin Rundle (Marathon, NY) and Rebecca Quackenbush (Barker, NY) the co-female athletes of the week for the week ending October 16.
Pierre-Louis led the men's soccer team in the 4-1 win over Gallaudet, recording two goals, including the game winner as the men's team improved to 3-3-2 in conference play on Sunday.
Currently leading the team in scoring with six goals and an assist, Pierre-Louis has posted two game winners this season.
The junior is majoring in accounting at Morrisville State. He is the son of Ronald Pierre-Louis and Marie Sonia Jean of Gaithersburg.
Rundle earns co-Mustang Athlete of the Week honors after leading the women's soccer team to a 1-1 week, recording three goals in two games. Rundle tallied the lone goal in the loss to Harrisburg, before battling back and recording two scores, including the game winner, against Gallaudet on Sunday.
Rundle has tallied four goals and two assists as a midfielder for the Mustangs this season, and has netted two game winners.
Majoring in liberal arts and sciences: humanities and social science at Morrisville State, Rundle is the daughter of Michelle and David Rundle of Marathon.
Quackenbush, forward for the field hockey team, shares Mustang Athlete of the Week honors, after posting her first collegiate hat trick in the 5-4 overtime victory over Elmira last week.
She leads the team with eight goals on the season, including a game winner.
Quackenbush is majoring in travel and tourism at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Bonnie and Michael Quackenbush of Barker.
