The Morrisville State College athletic department has named western rider, Kelly Hunter (Red Hook, NY), and football wide receiver, Ricky Demers (Wappinger Falls, NY) the Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending November 6.
Hunter collected two first place finishes in the Class 12A intermediate I equitation class on Saturday as the western team collected its first two wins of the 2011-12 season.

Morrisville State College students are reaching out to raise awareness about hunger and homelessness. Some will gain a sense of what it feels like to be homeless when they sleep out overnight in handmade shelters while others will spearhead a campus-wide brigade to collect items for the needy.

The Morrisville State College athletic department has named hunt seat rider, Keely O'Hara (Delphi Falls, NY) and men's ice hockey forward Todd Hosmer (Scarborough, ONT) the Mustang Athletes of the Week for the week ending November 13.
O'Hara led the hunt seat equestrian team to a third place finish on Saturday at the Mustang Invitational and to reserve high point team honors on Sunday, earning two second place ribbons while claiming the blue twice.

Visiting Buffalo State hockey tallied four second period goals en route to a 7-2 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) victory over Morrisville State College Saturday night.
Morrisville State slips to 1-3-0 overall, while Buffalo improves to 2-1-0.
Todd Hosmer (Scarborough, ONT) tallied both goals for the Mustangs with Patrick Stillar (Burlington, ONT) picking up an assist on each goal.

Morrisville State drops to 1-8 overall (1-7 NJAC), while Buffalo State pulls even at 5-5 (5-4 NJAC) to hand Bengal Head Coach Jerry Boyes his 100th career victory.

The Morrisville State College western equestrian team opened the 2011-2012 season campaign with high point team honors Saturday, sweeping all competition in both the morning and afternoon shows.
Morrisville State topped compiled 33 team points to edge reserve high point team SUNY Cobleskill (25 points) in the morning show, and repeated in the afternoon with 28 team points to Cobleskill's 18.

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) released its 2011 Men's Soccer All-Conference teams, naming three Morrisville State College student-athletes to its second and third teams.
Junior forward Sanley Pierre-Louis (Gaithersburg, MD) garnered second team honors following his performance on the field this season. Pierre-Louis led the Mustangs in scoring, putting seven in the back of the net and assisted on another for 15 points this season.

Rundle becomes the first member of the women's soccer team to earn All-Conference honors.

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its All-Conference Team selections Wednesday, naming Morrisville State College freshman middle hitter Tiffany Jones-Maxwell (Hamilton, NY/Hamilton) to its third team.
Jones-Maxwell led Morrisville State with 221 kills on the season (2.28 per game) while collecting 100 defensive digs and 57 blocks at the net for the Mustangs, starting 28 matches.

Host Nazareth College posted a comeback victory over visiting Morrisville State College, scoring four straight, including three in the second half, as they topped the Mustangs 4-1 in non-conference action at Nazareth.
Morrisville State concludes the 2011 season with a 1-17 overall record.

The Morrisville State College hunt seat equestrian team compiled 35 team points, just one shy of reserve show champion Hartwick, to place third overall at the Hartwick College Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) invitational Saturday in Oneonta.
Skidmore was show champion with 43 team points, followed by Hartwick with 36. Albany tallied 34 for fourth, Colgate 31, Cobleskill 30, Oneonta 25, RPI 20, Sienna 20 and Union 12 to round out team scoring.
