The Morrisville State College athletic department has named senior hockey forward, Bobby Cass (Burlington, ONT) the Mustang Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 16.
Cass was involved in each scoring play for the Mustangs in the 4-3 overtime loss to 15th ranked Neumann College Saturday. Cass tallied two power play scores and assisted another in the loss.
Currently second on the team in scoring with five goals and eight assists (13 points), Cass has tallied 22 goals and 28 assists in his career with the Mustangs.
The Morrisville State College wrestling team dropped dual action Tuesday night to host Rochester Institute of Technology by a 31-11 match final in Rochester.
Nate Cross (Hudson Falls, NY) was first to put points on the board for the Mustangs, recording a major decision (14-1) over Adam Huguinine in the 165 pound weight class.
Joseph Rodriguez (Port Chester, NY) followed at 184 pounds with a 6-3 decision over Braden Friscia. Josue Cardenas (Port Chester, NY) rounded out Mustang scoring with a major decision over Dave Sickler (11-3) at 197 pounds.

The Morrisville State College men's ice hockey program has teamed up with Saves For A Cure, Saturday, February 5th in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) contest against SUNY Plattsburgh.
Saves For A Cure is a non-profit organization founded by former SUNY Brockport goaltender and cancer survivor, Todd Sheridan, aimed to help children with their battle against cancer. The program assists in enhancing hospital stays for children undergoing cancer treatments at the James P Wilmot Cancer Center in Rochester.
