After skating to a 4-1 victory over nationally-ranked Neumann College Friday night, the Morrisville State Mustangs added a tough loss to their record, losing 4-3 to the Knights after a late goal by Brent Tamane (Pickering, ONT), assisted by Will Lacasse (St. Pie, QUEBEC) and Scott Farrell (Ottawa, ONT) in sudden victory overtime.

The Mustangs and the Knights battled for nearly 14 minutes before Aaron Keaney (Minden, ONT) netted the first goal of the game, assisted by Sean Crozier (Renfrew, ONT) and Farrell, giving Neumann College a 1-0 lead. With 36 seconds left in the first period, Morrisville's Bobby Cass (Burlington, ONT) evened the score, putting the puck past Neumann goaltender Matt Tendler (Warminster, PA), with help from Daniel Morello (Vaughan, ONT) on a power play.

Nearly six minutes into the second period, Michael Rey (Winnipeg, MANITOBA) answered back with a power-play goal for the Knights, assisted by Farrell and Mat Valois (Ottawa, ONT). At 7:29, Cass netted his second goal of the game on a power play, with an assist from Rafal Plonski (Warsaw, POLAND), putting the Mustangs once again even with the Knights. Two minutes later, Rob Sgarbossa (Campbellville, ONT) gave the Mustangs a one-goal cushion with assists from Cass and Geoff Matzel (Chittenango, NY), but with 1:33 left in the second period, Tamane added one for the Knights, sending the game into overtime with a scoreless third period.

Senior goaltender Caylin Relkoff (Grand Forks, BC) saved 35 for the Mustangs in 64:28, while Neumann's Tendler kept 32 out of the net. The Knights advance to a 9-5-3 record while the Mustangs stand at 7-6-1 overall.
