Morrisville State's Financial Aid Office will host a SUNY Financial Aid Day information session on Saturday, Feb. 22.
This free event, which will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Charlton Hall, Room 002, will offer assistance with questions regarding the financial aid process and completing the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Host Morrisville State College men’s basketball was able to overcome a 14-point second half deficit Tuesday afternoon, edging visiting SUNY IT 88-86 in the closing minute for the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory in Morrisville.
Morrisville State improves to 6-5 overall with the win, a 3-2 conference record, while the visitors drop just their third of the year, falling to 7-3 overall and 2-2 in NEAC play.

The Morrisville State College women’s basketball team put together a hard fought battle Tuesday afternoon, but dropped the 77-49 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) decision to visiting SUNYIT in Morrisville.
With the loss, Morrisville State drops to 4-8 overall, 2-3 in conference play, while the visitors improve to 7-4 overall and remain untouched in NEAC action at 4-0.

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its student-athlete of the week selections, naming Morrisville State College freshman guard, Jordan Anderson (West Edmeston, N.Y.) the women’s basketball co-player of the week for the week ending Jan. 12.

Visiting Morrisville State College men’s hockey picked up a 6-4 non-conference win over host Becker College Sunday afternoon, improving their overall record to 4-9-1.
Ten different Mustangs tallied points in the contest, including Daniel Morello (Vaughan, ON) and Marc-Antoine Chaput (Mascouche, QC) who each posted three assists on the day.

Freshman forward Caitlyn Adams (Sherburne, N.Y.) posted a collegiate high 22 points, and added 13 rebounds for her first double-double, leading Morrisville State College women’s basketball to a 63-40 win over host Wilson College in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action Saturday afternoon in Chambersburg.
The victory is the second straight for the Mustangs, who improve to 4-7 overall and pull even at 2-2 in NEAC action.

Host Nichols College scored five first period goals and added three more in the final stanza to top visiting Morrisville State College hockey by a 9-4 non-conference decision Saturday night in Rhode Island.

An exciting event called the Global Game Jam (GGJ)—a chance to explore creativity, tout inventiveness and to let imaginations roam.
Registration is under way now for the annual event and Morrisville State will again serve as a host site for this year's GGJ which will be held January 24-26.

The Morrisville State women’s basketball team got off to a rocky start Tuesday night, and could not recover, as they dropped a 59-36 non-conference contest to host Bard College.
The loss drops the Mustangs to 2-7 overall, as they look to rebound from the loss Thursday, hosting Penn College of Technology.

The Morrisville State College men’s ice hockey team resumed play Saturday afternoon at the University of New England, and dropped the non-conference tilt 5-4 in overtime.
The loss drops the Mustangs to 3-8-1 overall.
John Doyle (New Lowell, ON) scored twice to lead the Morrisville State efforts, while teammate Ryan Marcuz (Richmond Hill, ON) added a goal and an assist. Jordan Carvalho (Brampton, ON) posted the other Mustang tally on the day.

Four Morrisville State students have been awarded Caterpillar/Milton CAT Scholarships by the Morrisville College Foundation.
The $2,500 scholarships, awarded to students in the diesel technology programs, are based on academic achievement and financial need.

The free event, which will begin at 7 p.m. has been moved from Crouse Community Center to the MESC Elementary School. The college donated a 20-foot Black Spruce tree which was placed at Crouse Community Center this week.

Morrisville State will host the second annual Commercial Hops Growers Conference on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 a.m. in the STUAC Theater and Crawford Hall, Room 107.
The conference will feature various presentations, a beer pairing dinner on Friday night and a post-conference happy hour on Saturday evening and beer pairing dinner, both at the Colgate Inn.

Morrisville State professor Sheila Marshman was an invited speaker at the 38th Annual American Agri-Women Convention held recently in Niagara Falls.
Five Morrisville State agricultural business students also participated in the convention.
American Agri-Women is the nation's largest coalition of farm, ranch and agribusiness women with more than 50 state, commodity and agribusiness affiliate organizations throughout the country.

Morrisville State auto body technology students recently transformed a retired military Humvee for the college's New York State University Police (UP) Department.
Students in Gil Wistrup's Unibody Repair and Refinishing lab slicked the once camouflaged rig with a coat of white paint. Soon it will be detailed with lights and decals to match the college's fleet of UP vehicles.

Morrisville State’s dairy judging team competed in the World Dairy Expo held recently in Madison, Wis.
Team members placed individually in the top 10 of each breed for Holstein, Milking Shorthorns, Jersey, Red and White Holsteins, Guernseys, and Ayrshire, with Colleen Cargile, an animal science—dairy major from Skaneateles, taking first place individual for the Jersey breed.

The eerie and somewhat disturbing art pieces by New York State native Lee Brown Coye will be on exhibit in the Morrisville State Butcher Library from Halloween night through Nov. 4.
A reception to honor Coye, who died in 1981, will be held in the library on Oct. 31, from 4-5:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to come in costume for the reception which is free and open to the public. This event is supported by the Sheila Johnson Institute.
