MORRISVILLE, NY—Morrisville State has been honored again for its trees. The college received 2014 Tree Campus USA® recognition by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management. 
MORRISVILLE, NY—The Morrisville State Theater Department and SGO will present the romantic musical, “The Fantasticks,” in the Little Theatre of the John W. Stewart Center for Student Activities (STUAC) on March 27, 28, at 8 p.m.; March 29 at 2 p.m.; and April 2, 3, 4, at 8 p.m. This longest-running Broadway musical tells an allegorical story about two neighboring mothers who plot to get their children to fall in love. 
MORRISVILLE, NY— Morrisville State students will be among those participating in this year’s annual Winter Fest March 7.  Indoor games, sledding, face painting, carnival games, crafts, an indoor slide and caricatures are among the activities planned during the event, which takes place from 2:30-6:30 at the Morrisville-Eaton Elementary School located on Eaton Street. An open skate will also be held at the IcePlex on the Morrisville State campus, from 2-3 p.m.
MORRISVILLE, NY— Ashley Willits, a Morrisville State student from Copenhagen, NY, represented the New York Farm Bureau (NYFB) in the Collegiate Discussion Meet held at The American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers & Ranchers Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tenn., where she earned a spot in the “Sweet 16” as one of the top 16 individuals out of 47 who participated.
MORRISVILLE, NY—The Region II BOCES Skills USA competition scheduled for Feb. 13 at Morrisville State has been rescheduled for Feb. 27 due to predicted inclement weather.  Approximately 800 high school students from 18 schools will have the opportunity to showcase a multitude of skills and talents during the annual conference which features high school students from technical schools and BOCES programs throughout Central New York competing in a variety of events. 
MORRISVILLE, NY—Morrisville State is making it easier for community college transfer students to earn their four-year degree. Thanks to a new transfer pledge, accepted students transferring with a completed A.A.S. or A.S. degree can transfer with full junior status into an aligned bachelor’s degree program at Morrisville State. The pledge also includes specific guarantees and financial support opportunities.
MORRISVILLE, NY—Morrisville State will feature well-known soul food deity and entrepreneur, Juanita Bass, as a guest chef on Feb. 26, at Mustang Alley.  The event, hosted by the Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation (MAC), is one of many the college has planned in celebration of Black History Month. 
MORRISVILLE, NY– Morrisville State’s Financial Aid Office will host a SUNY Financial Aid Day information session on Saturday, Feb. 28. This event, which will be held from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. in Charlton Hall, Room 002, will offer assistance with questions regarding the financial aid process and completing the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The event is targeted for incoming freshmen; however it is also open to current and returning students.
MORRISVILLE, NY— There was a common element challenging the seven-member “KThx” team as they ardently worked together to create their video game, “Project: Nightmare.” Each had slept no more than five hours in a 48-hour timeframe. But it didn’t diminish their excitement or innovativeness during this year’s Global Game Jam ™ (GGJ) held Jan. 23-25 at Morrisville State.
