The Morrisville State College Dairy Club will hold its thirtieth annual Autumn Review Sale on Sept. 8, 2012.
The sale will begin at 11 a.m. at the Madison County Cooperative Extension Center on Eaton Street in Morrisville.
Eighty-five lots will be sold on consignment at this sale. All lots are Holstein (calves, cows, embryos, and picks) except for one special Jersey calf consignment to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the sale. The sale catalog can viewed at www.holsteinworld.com/saleslist.php.
A team of four-legged favorites moved into Morrisville State College's building for the duration of The Great New York State Fair which runs Aug. 23-Sept. 3.
Fair-goers can learn more about the horses; a Belgian gelding, a Percheron mare, a Standardbred brood mare with a filly foal, and a Paint cross, at the college's building located near Gate 4 by the Coca-Cola Coliseum and the Iroquois Indian Village.

The Country Jam will take place on July 13 from 2 to 11 p.m. and July 14 from noon to 11 p.m. on the home field of the Madison-Bouckville Antique Festival, located on Route 20 in Bouckville. Morrisville State College's Renewable Energy Training Center (RETC) will be offering a two day hands-on workshop, Renewable Energy Beyond the Classroom, designed for K-12 teachers.
The workshop, which will explore renewable energy and assembling real systems, will be held on July 19 and 20 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. in Shannon and Galbreath Halls. Sessions include: Solar Overview and Solar Thermal Installation, Biodiesel, Microhydro Installation and Wood Gasification.

The Liberal Arts Theater Participant-of-the-Year Award, given to a student who excels in theater productions on campus or assisting with productions, was presented to Billie Gadway, of Tupper Lake, N.Y., a human performance and health promotion student.
