MORRISVILLE, NY— Morrisville State College President David Rogers will be speaking about entrepreneurship during a “How to Think Like an Entrepreneur” webinar which will be held Jan. 21, from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Oxford Academy High School Auditorium.
President Rogers will present “Connections to Entrepreneurism and Applied Learning” during the event, which is free and open to the public.

MORRISVILLE, NY— Five Morrisville State students have been awarded Caterpillar/Milton CAT Scholarships by the Morrisville College Foundation.
The $2,500 scholarships, awarded to students in the diesel technology/agricultural engineering programs, are based on academic achievement and financial need.

MORRISVILLE, NY—Morrisville State College student Justin Quiles, of White Lake, was recently awarded the Dr. McBride Criminal Justice Student Achievement Award by the SUNY Police Chiefs Association.
A junior in the college’s criminal justice bachelor degree program, Quiles is the first Morrisville student to receive the award since it was instituted in 2001.

MORRISVILLE, NY—It was Delroy Young’s first experience preparing a five-course meal. The Morrisville State College student selected two fried slices of zucchini from a large bowl, placed them atop a creamy beer cheese soup, then topped it with a chipotle crème fraiche and pea shoots.

MORRISVILLE, NY— A new tradition has begun on the Morrisville State College campus.
MSC President David Rogers announced the establishment of Founders’ Day, a day to acknowledge and celebrate community service.
“Each year we will celebrate community service achievements on October 26, Founders’ Day, which coincides with the first day of classes at Morrisville in 1910,” Rogers said.

The college was awarded $12.9 million through the SUNY 2020 initiative to build a new 35,000-square-foot alternative fuels building.

MORRISVILLE, NY—Morrisville State College’s welding lab will get a boost thanks to a $30,000 grant from the Dominion Foundation. Dominion is one of the nation’s largest producers and transporters of energy.
The grant money will be used to update equipment, a move that will add spark to welding courses at MSC.

MORRISVILLE, NY—Morrisville State College’s Annual Autumn Review Sale set a record with the highest number of animals in the 33-year history of the event. The dairy cattle sale focused on Holsteins but also sold two Jerseys, two Brown Swiss, and one Milking Shorthorn.
The sale grossed a total of $274,650 with 116 live lots sold, nine embryo lots, and five additional animals outside the formal sale. The live lots ranged from two days old to 5-year-old cows.

MORRISVILLE, NY—Morrisville State College held its twenty-sixth annual Standardbred yearling sale, taking in close to $1 million.
The highly anticipated event drew a crowd of potential buyers, sellers, trainers and owners from across the Northeast. MSC’s sale is the only one of its kind in New York State held on a college campus.

Activities begin Friday night, Sept. 25 with a 50-year reunion dinner for the class of 1965 and a men’s alumni lacrosse game at 7:30 p.m.

MORRISVILLE, NY— Morrisville State will hold its twenty-sixth annual Fall Yearling Sale Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. at the college’s Nancy Sears Stowell Arena on Swamp Road.
There are a total of 69 yearlings cataloged for the 2015 sale. Eighteen of them are being sold by the college including two yearlings of Cash Hall; six yearlings of RC Royalty; three yearlings by Conway Hall, three yearlings by Deweycheatumnhowe and one by first crop stallion, Archangel.

MORRISVILLE, NY—It wasn’t the usual summer for Margaret Collins. The Morrisville State College student took a break from her part-time job scooping ice cream and bagging sugary confections to learn about chloride mass balance in lakes.
For 10 weeks, Collins, an individual studies student, was immersed in a paid research internship that measured chloride levels in Cazenovia Lake.

MORRISVILLE, NY — Today, 16 horses and four donkeys began a new journey. It came in an army of faith, hope and love.
For a short time, they are “Lainey’s Horses,” named after Lainey’s Army, the animal organization instrumental in finding them their temporary home at Morrisville State College.
