The Morrisville State College men's basketball team had their 11 game conference win streak snapped Tuesday night, as they suffered an 82-62 setback to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Wells College in Aurora. Morrisville State fell to 14-8 overall, dropping their first loss in NEAC action (11-1). Wells improved to 11-11 overall, 8-4 in conference play.

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announced its student-athlete of the week selections, naming Morrisville State men's basketball forward, Kucjok Ater (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) its player of the week for the week ending February 5.

Morrisville State improved to 13-7 overall, and remain untouched in conference play with a 10-0 record. Gallaudet drops to 10-10 overall, 7-4 in NEAC action.

The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its 2011 Fall SUNYAC All-Academic Team and Commissioner's List, naming Morrisville State College field hockey student-athletes Rebecca Meyer (Morrisville, N.Y.), Julia Key (Newark Valley, N.Y.) and Alexis Tinnirello (West Islip, N.Y.) to its All-Academic Team.

The Morrisville State College women's basketball team has joined the “Play 4Kay” team in an effort to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund in support of cancer research, Saturday, February 11, 2012 as they host Cazenovia College at 3 p.m. Donations for the Mustangs efforts can be made online through their team page at www.play4kay.org/morrisville.
