The Morrisville State College men's basketball team had their 11 game conference win streak snapped Tuesday night, as they suffered an 82-62 setback to North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Wells College in Aurora.

Morrisville State fell to 14-8 overall, dropping their first loss in NEAC action (11-1). Wells improved to 11-11 overall, 8-4 in conference play.

Dave Foltz led all scorers on the night, recording 29 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the floor including 5-of-7 from behind the arc. Foltz also posted four rebounds and four steals in the victory for Wells, while teammate Terry Harrison chipped in 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Andre Sawyer added 11 points and had 10 rebounds to round out top scoring for the Express.

Brandon Hanks (Syracuse, N.Y.) had 13 points to lead the Mustangs in scoring, hitting three from downtown, while adding seven rebounds to his tallies as Kucjok Ater (Syracuse, N.Y.) posted 12 points, five rebounds, four blocks and two steals in Morrisville State's efforts.

Both teams played even in the beginning of the first half, until Wells broke out with an 18-4 run over a five minute span midway through the period for the 30-14 lead, which proved to be a deficit the Mustangs were unable overcome.

After trailing 52-34 at the break, Morrisville State quickly put points on the board as Hanks drained a three just nine seconds in, but a scoring drought over the next four minutes found the Mustangs trailing once again by 18. Wells went on to lead by as many as 26 in the second half.

Wells held the 46 to 39 percent advantage in shooting from the floor, holding Morrisville State to its second lowest scoring total of the season, forcing 22 Mustang turnovers.

Morrisville State returns to the court Saturday, hosting Cazenovia at 1 p.m. in the STUAC Gymnasium.
