As we approach the start of the fall semester, we will share a series of messages to ensure that you have answers to as many of your questions as possible before returning to campus. Please find below information about how to read your class schedule, as well as the different ways your class might be meeting.

On Aug. 11, SUNY system encouraged all campuses to more strongly consider implementing COVID-19 pooled testing as part of return-to-campus plans closer to move-in dates. As a result, SUNY Morrisville will provide students this opportunity within the first few weeks of our return. Details will follow as soon as SUNY Morrisville receives them.

Dear SUNY Morrisville student,  As SUNY Morrisville prepares to welcome you back for the Fall 2020 semester, I want to familiarize you with the terms and definitions for the various ways your classes will take place.  As our institution is heavily focused on applied learning experiences, we have prioritized face-to-face delivery for courses and labs requiring hands-on instruction.

The ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic and its accompanying consequences are a constant and ever-present subject of the news and other media. We recognize reactions can impact the mental and physical health of students, staff, faculty and others we care about. We encourage each person to take care of their mental health and use some of the resources we have listed below.

As you may be aware, rates of COVID infections are increasing in PA, especially in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Although the rate of COVID infections in your area may be much lower than in other areas of the state, overall Pennsylvania's community transmission rates of COVID are rising.

The Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL), with whom SUNY Morrisville holds membership in the sport of women's ice hockey, issued a statement Thursday afternoon, suspending conference and non-conference competition until Jan. 1, 2021, due to the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The term “esports” may be unfamiliar to some, but it has quickly become a buzzword on the SUNY Morrisville campus. Esports (electronic sports), which has taken the nation and globe by storm over the past decade, is an organized sports competition featuring multiplayer video games, where gamers from around the world can compete individually or as a team. According to an analysis from Statista, the esports industry is booming, expecting to top $1 billion in worldwide market revenue for 2020.
