Join high school senior and climate leader Andrew Fagerheim in a conversation about how local governments can take meaningful environmental action and the role of youth in government structures through the lense of the New York Climate Smart Communities Program. This event is part of the Earth Day Speaker Series.
Far too often we hear the idea that youth are the leaders of the future on important issues such as climate change. In reality, young people have the skills, passion, and responsibility to build more sustainable communities starting now! Join high school senior and climate leader Andrew Fagerheim in a conversation about how youth can take environmental leadership in their schools, communities, and regions. We will explore best-practices and models for school projects, community engagement, and youth climate summits from across New York State.
