MORRISVILLE, N.Y. — SUNY Morrisville presents its annual Fall Yearling Sale Sunday, Sept. 15 at noon at the college’s Nancy Sears Stowell Arena on Swamp Road in the town of Smithfield. Yearlings are available for inspection Saturday, Sept. 14, after 10 a.m.   The highly anticipated sale, which is free and open to the public, draws a crowd of potential buyers, sellers, trainers and owners from across the Northeast. 
MORRISVILLE, N.Y. — SUNY Morrisville is hosting a cannabis growers and producers showcase on Friday, Aug. 9, from 1-4 p.m., for those actively involved with or interested in growing or producing cannabis-derived products.  The showcase will include a trade show, field visits, panel sessions, equipment demonstrations and information about the growing cannabis industry in Central New York. MORRISVILLE, N.Y. —  Aníbal Torres Bernal is the new dean of the School of Liberal Arts, Sciences & Society at SUNY Morrisville, beginning July 10.  Torres has extensive experience in higher education, the majority of which has been in applied education. Torres is the first dean of SUNY Morrisville’s School of Liberal Arts, Sciences & Society, one of two new schools within the college formed after reorganizing and restructuring programs previously distributed across four schools.
MORRISVILLE, N.Y.— Stevie Watson is the new dean of the School of Agriculture, Business & Technology at SUNY Morrisville, beginning July 1.  Watson comes to SUNY Morrisville with extensive experience in the educational arena as a former academic administrator at two universities. Watson is the first dean of Morrisville’s School of Agriculture, Business & Technology, one of two new schools within the college formed after reorganizing and restructuring programs previously spread across four schools.
MORRISVILLE, NY— Gilligan’s Ice Cream loves its fans so much, they are letting them choose a new SUNY Morrisville indulgence through a Mustang Ice Cream Contest.  SUNY Morrisville alumni Andy Lagoe ’92 and Gil Hodges ’92 along with partner Mike Lagoe, owners of Gilligan’s Ice Cream, (www.gilliganssherburne.com), located in Sherburne, devised the contest, which lauds their Mustang pride.
