SUNY Morrisville Norwich Campus offers a variety of health and wellness services and resources to assist students as they pursue their academic goals.
Mental Health (MH) services offered to students include consultation, short-term counseling and community referrals focused on a student’s presenting concern and needs. Drop-In, weekly and bi-weekly virtual and in-person appointments available.
In addition, MH information is provided on campus and through social media. The information is aimed at raising awareness of the personal, emotional, and mental health challenges many college students experience and the current resources available to help.
To assist students in strengthening their “well-being,” Wellness Services include consultations focused on stress management, building personal resiliency and developing strategies to personal health and wellness.
All services provided are confidential and free of charge to currently enrolled students at SUNY Morrisville Norwich Campus.
Student Wellness Center
The Norwich Campus Student Wellness Center embraces the opportunity to provide education and services that address students’ academic needs, while also supporting their personal health and wellbeing to help them succeed and thrive.
The Student Wellness Center provides a centralized space where students can go to decompress, respond to and manage stress, address topics related to health and wellbeing, and connect with peers in a constructive way.
Students utilize health and wellness resources, participate in wellbeing workshops, engage with other students, participate in hands-on activities for their wellness, and experience and practice self-care skills.
The center is frequently occupied by students before, in between, and after classes to relax in the massage chairs, work on group projects near the fireplace, discuss a lesson on the oversized beanbag chairs, and offer programming.
