Housing Requirements
All first-time, full-time students whose permanent residence is beyond a 30 mile radius of SUNY Morrisville are required to reside on campus for four consecutive semesters, or until 60 credits have been completed. Transfer students with fewer than sixty credits or less than 4 semesters at another college are also required to live on campus. In special cases, a student may apply for a residency requirement exemption through the Office of Residence Life.
Laundry
All campus housing facilities have washers and dryers for your use at no additional cost. Your clothes will come clean in cold water if you use cold water detergents. However, if you prefer hot water, there is one hot water machine in each laundry room. All laundry facilities are located on the lower level of each building with exceptions being Cayuga and Oneida Halls where machines are located on both the lower level and the first floor, and Commons II where machines are located on each floor. You can download the Speed Queen app to track your laundry while you get stuff done! If you have any questions or concerns with regard to laundry equipment, please call 315.684.6536.
Refuse / Recycling
Madison County has an active recycling program and the campus is highly involved. SUNY Morrisville students have led the county in recycling over the past few years and hope you will do your part in saving the earth.
Vending Machines
All campus housing facilities and most academic buildings have vending machines filled with beverages, snacks, candy, and entrée type items. The Market24 vending units are located by Seneca and South Hall and offer many items typically found in convenience store which can be accessed 24 hours a day. Campus Cash can be used for the convenience of purchasing all your favorite snack foods and more!
Residential Wired and Wireless Access (ResNet)
All campus housing facilities are equipped with wireless Internet access. To connect to WiFi available in all residence halls, connect to the network "Mustang Resnet Open" and navigate to http://resnet.morrisville.edu in your device’s internet browser to begin enrollment. For wired connections, simply plug your device into one of the available ethernet ports which are found in most rooms. These ports can either be found on the bottom of the white access points, or in traditional in-wall ethernet jacks in all Morrisville Commons suites.
