After Dan Akers graduated from the SUNY Morrisville Automotive Technology Program in 1990, he 'turned wrenches' for over 17 years at a busy dealership in Syracuse, NY. Dan left his position as the Shop Foreman and returned to SUNY Morrisville in 2007 to begin his career as an Automotive Technology Educator in the Ford ASSET Program.

Dr. Shamsul Arefeen is an Assistant Professor of Renewable Energy program at SUNY, Morrisville. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University, USA in 2022.

Mohammadali Azadfar, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of environmental & renewable resources in the State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville and runs the college's Wood Technology Center. Dr.

Ben Ballard, Ph.D., is a Professor of Renewable Energy at SUNY Morrisville. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in forest resources management from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF), a Master of Science in statistics from Syracuse University, and a doctorate in forest ecosystem science and applications from SUNY ESF.

Scott Colby is an Assistant Professor of Agribusiness at SUNY Morrisville. Dr. Colby’s research spans food consumer behavior, food marketing, agricultural economics, food distribution, housing economics, and environmental economics.

I am passionate about teaching virtualization, security, networking, and system administration because they are essential skills and knowledge for today’s IT professionals.

As an associate professor in the Equine Science programs, Tiffany Day is responsible for the Equine Nutrition, Equine Health and Lameness, Animal Genetics-Equine, Equine Exercise Physiology classes and works with the Western Breaking and Training class. Professor Day is also the head coach of the SUNY Morrisville Western Equestrian Team.

I am an organismal biologist with a background in regenerative/developmental biology, ecology, and natural history specializing in herpetology. I teach most of the biology and chemistry classes at the Norwich Campus along with some classes at the Morrisville main campus.

Hello 😊 I have been working for SUNY Morrisville for 13 years teaching in the business administration and healthcare office coordinator programs. Prior to Morrisville I was the Adult Education Director for DCMO BOCES and spent 4 years as a HS business teacher. My past jobs have included working for an insurance company, a travel agency, and as a Blackjack/table games dealer for four years.

Dr. Eleswed is an avid educator in Business Administration, Management, Leadership Health Administration, Research Methods, Applied Statistics, and Engineering Management.

Dr Gilbert Jenkins earned a B.S. degree in Environmental Studies from SUNY Buffalo in 1999. She then taught as an environmental educator at the Mohonk Preserve in New Paltz, NY for two years. In 2003 Dr Gilbert Jenkins completed a M.S. degree in Natural Resource Management and Engineering: Water at UConn in Storrs, CT.

Graduate of the auto body program in 2016, I gained my experience in Vintage Volkswagen Restoration and Early 1900’s Cadillac restoration. I am I-Car certified as an instructor for GMA MIG welding, as well as a technician in painting and non-structural repair. We offer the I-Car GMA MIG welding certification in our program for students to graduate adding a skill to their resume.

As a professor in the Natural Resources Conservation and Environmental & Natural Resources Management programs, Rebecca Hargrave teaches the Arboriculture, Dendrology, Recreation Management, Natural Resources Measurements, and Forest Protection classes. Professor Hargrave is also responsible for the Environmental Sciences internship program.

As a professor in the Automotive Department, Matt Heckerman teaches Electronic Fuel Systems and Engine Performance/Drivability courses.  He has earned both an associate's and bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology from SUNY Morrisville, and a master's degree in Vocational Education from SUNY Oswego.
