Dear Campus Community,
As announced last week, students and employees who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to participate in weekly surveillance testing during summer break. Individuals who are not fully vaccinated remain required to test weekly.
SUNY Morrisville students and employees opting out of testing must provide documentation showing completion of a full vaccination series to be exempt. For the proper ways to do so, please refer to the instructions listed in last week’s announcement.
For students and employees who are not fully vaccinated or who prefer not to provide proof of vaccination, weekly surveillance testing continues next week for students living on or commuting to campus during the summer, as well as employees who report to campus at least once every two weeks.
Beginning this coming week, testing throughout summer break for all students and employees will now be held at Helyar Hall from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each Monday and Tuesday. Please note that this coming week (May 31), testing will only be held on Tuesday, June 1, to recognize the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 31.
All Norwich Campus students who are not fully vaccinated and are registered for a summer class will continue to participate in pooled saliva testing administered at their class each Monday (with the exception of the Memorial Day holiday on May 31).
Pursuant to the directions of the NYS Governor's Office of Employee Relations and SUNY System, SUNY Morrisville's mask and face covering policy remains unchanged for all students and employees, regardless of vaccination status.
Regardless of vaccination status, students also should continue to complete the daily self-screening checklist while on campus, while employees reporting to campus should continue to complete the daily COVID Screening app.
Thank you all for continuing to help keep our campus safe.
