Morrisville State College head football coach, Terry Dow, recently announced the addition of Travis Greene to the coaching staff for the 2012 season. He will oversee the cornerbacks.
Greene comes to Morrisville from the Arizona Rattlers, an Arena Football League team, where he served as an assistant coach and operations intern last season. While with the Rattlers, Greene was responsible for assisting in scouting, conducting defensive line drills, and assisting the coaching staff with several day-to-day organizational operations.
Prior to joining the Rattlers, Green spent a season as a defensive backs and running backs coach for Marshall High School, serving as a the special teams coordinator for the junior varsity program.
Greene was a four-year letter winner for the Elon University football program, at linebacker and defensive back, as well as saw time on special teams. In four seasons, Greene appeared in 37 games for the Phoenix, and was a two-time Southern Conference (SoCon) player of the week nomination throughout in his collegiate career.
Elon appeared in the FCS playoffs in 2009.
While at Elon, Greene was a member of the Football Leadership Council, before receiving his bachelor of arts degree in economics in 2011.
