Austin Townsley and Amanda Hunt both posted personal bests Saturday at the Hylander Invitational held at Houghton College.
Townsley ran a 26:59.18 in the 8k placing 19th, while Hunt posted a time of 20:44.31 in the 5k race finishing 62nd.
Overall the men's team finished 10th out of 16 teams and the women finished 11th out of 11 teams.
Greg Johnsmeyer followed Townsley for the Mustangs placing 73rd with a time of 28:49.61. Ben Sargrad placed 84th with a time of 29:13.77 followed by Dakota Nelson who finished with a time of 30:03.06 placing 95th. Closely behind Nelson was Malcolm Legloahec, Shawn Okula and Jonathon Mahan who finished 109th, 123rd and 126th, respectively.
Following Hunt for the women was Meghan Mantaro who placed 95th with a time of 21:55.92. D'Ashley Landry crossed the finish line next for the Mustangs in 118th place, posting a time of 23:27.26 with Victoria Lanquah following closely, finishing 140th with a time of 23:46.50. Kristen Offringa and Brittany Ellis rounded out Morrisville State's scoring with 140th and 147th place finishes, respectively.
The women's cross country team travels to Cazenovia next Saturday, October 1, while the men travel to SUNY Geneseo.
