Freshman Kelsey Stewart (Cuttingsville, Vt.) wrapped up a stellar freshman campaign with a 16th place overall finish at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championships held in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania over the weekend.
Stewart finished 13th out of 26 riders in the Horsemanship Phase of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) high point rider competition, and landed a 10th place finish in the reining phase, finishing 16th overall with 27 points.
Stewart completed the regular season as the high point champion for Zone 2, Region 3 to earn the opportunity to represent the Region and Morrisville State at the National Championships.
The freshman is majoring in equine science at Morrisville State.
