Morrisville State College freshman defensive back, Jeremy Stewart (Moravia, NY) has been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Rookie of the Week for the week ending November 13.
Stewart earns the honors for the second time this season, after playing a key role in Morrisville State's 48-25 conference win over Western Connecticut State University. He tallied five tackles, four solo stops, and notched a pair of interceptions, one of which was returned 25-yards for a touchdown.
He also blocked a punt which led to a special teams score in the win.
The 2010 graduate of Moravia High is majoring in sports, nutrition and fitness management at Morrisville State. He is the son of Sandra and Charles Wilkinson of Moravia.
