Six earn NEAC Women's Lacrosse All-Conference honors

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2011 women's lacrosse all-conference teams, naming six Morrisville State College student-athletes to its three teams.



Junior midfielder, Hillary Hartnett (Fairport, NY), and senior defender, Elizabeth Peck (Antwerp, NY), were named to the first team, while Jamie Anderson (Harpursville, NY), Alison Falkenburgh (Bayport, NY), and Brandi Rafalko (Great Meadows, NJ) earned second team honors. Cassie Edmondson (Oshawa, ONT) was named to the third team.



Harnett led the Mustangs in scoring, recording 42 goals and seven assists for 49 points, netting five game winners, while picking up 54 ground balls, 44 draw controls and causing 23 turnovers. She received NEAC Player of the Week honors twice this season.



The graduate of Fairport High is majoring in equine science at Morrisville. She is the daughter of Eileen and Robert Hartnett of Fairport.



Peck earns first team honors for a second time in her career, after recording three goals and an assist as a defender, while picking up 45 ground balls, 41 draw controls and causing 11 turnovers.



The graduate of Indian River High is majoring in agricultural business development at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Lori Booking and Eric Peck of Antwerp.



Anderson, sophomore attack, recorded 30 goals and assisted one, netting one game winner, while adding 53 ground balls and 28 draw controls to her tallies.



A graduate Harpursville High, Anderson is majoring in accounting at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Melissa and Paul Anderson of Harpursville.



Falkenburgh repeats second team honors, following an 18 goal, eight assist performance as a defender this season. She added 22 ground balls and five draw controls to her tallies while causing 10 turnovers.



The junior is a graduate of Bayport-Blue Point High and is majoring in horticulture business management at Morrisville. She is the daughter of Rosemarie and Bob Falkenburgh of Bayport.



Rafalko played 14 games for the Mustangs at defense, starting 13, and collected 24 ground balls while causing 10 opponent turnovers.



A graduate of North Warren Regional High, Rafalko is a freshman majoring in liberal arts and sciences: humanities and social science at Morrisville. She is the daughter of Pamela and Richard Rafalko of Great Meadows.



Edmondson tallied 12 goals and five assists for the Mustangs at midfield to earn third team all-conference honors, while collecting 42 ground balls, eight draw controls, and causing 16 turnovers.



The graduate of Eastdale CVI is majoring in sports, nutrition and fitness management at Morrisville State. She is the daughter of Stacey and Chris Edmondson of Oshawa, Ontario.



Beginning with the 2010 season, North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) members Cazenovia, College of St. Elizabeth, Keuka, Medaille, Penn State - Abington, SUNY Morrisville, Wells, and Wilson will play as associate members of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) in a West Division. Each division will hold a championship and the two divisional champions will meet to determine the conference champion.
