MORRISVILLE, NY—Robert Blanchet, of Cazenovia, is Morrisville State College’s new dean of admissions.
Blanchet is responsible for all aspects of the college’s enrollment program including recruitment, admissions, financial aid and matriculation activities. Some of his initial objectives are to develop and implement recruitment and marketing strategies to meet enrollment targets, and to provide effective data analysis to support marketing and enrollment decisions.
Blanchet has been a part of the admissions process in higher education for more than 14 years. As a member of previous admission departments, Blanchet oversaw travel recruitment and regional districting, cultivated strong relationships with high school counseling communities through campus events and implemented a multifaceted digital marketing recruitment plan.
Blanchet was previously the director of admissions for SUNY Cobleskill, where he oversaw multiple admissions rebranding campaigns. He also worked as a senior admissions advisor at The College at Brockport.
Blanchet earned a B.S. in communication applications and an M.A. in communication, both from The College at Brockport, and is completing his Ed.D. in executive leadership from St. John Fisher College.
