Thank you to everyone for your continued participation in our required weekly pooled saliva testing, and a big thanks as well to all the volunteers who are providing their time to help fulfill this SUNY safety mandate. There has been excellent compliance with our pooled saliva testing thus far, and we greatly appreciate you making it a quick part of your weekly routine.
As we head into another week of testing, we wanted to provide a few reminders:
Pooled Testing and the COVID-19 Vaccine
As more of those who are eligible within the campus community begin to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, this also has led to questions regarding whether testing is still required after being fully inoculated. The answer is yes, you are still required to be tested each week. At this time, the current vaccination status of students and employees does not change testing participation, as required by SUNY.
SUNY System Sanctions
SUNY System sanctions for noncompliance with testing took effect Oct. 1, 2020, and remain in place. These sanctions are designed to hold individuals more accountable for behavior that creates a greater risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus.
Pooled Saliva Testing Each Tuesday
Mandatory pooled saliva testing continues on "Testing Tuesday" in the Rec Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for all students and employees. Norwich Campus testing is every Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
We greatly appreciate your continued assistance in keeping our campus community safe. Please continue to practice physical distancing, properly wear face coverings over your mouth and nose and participate in weekly testing so we can contain the spread of COVID-19.
