Morrisville State College head women’s basketball coach, Sean Pinkerton, has announced his resignation after three seasons with the program. Pinkerton is leaving Morrisville State for a coaching position at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Pinkerton was instrumental in building a program that had compiled just five wins in its first three seasons at the NCAA Division III level, to a program best 10-15 overall record this past year since making the divisional transition.
“I am very proud of what the program has accomplished in my time at Morrisville State. With a strong core returning to the court next season, and a solid recruiting class expected, I am confident the women’s basketball program will continue to move forward”, said Pinkerton.
Pinkerton compiled an overall record of 19 wins and 57 losses over three seasons with the Mustangs.
“It was a difficult decision to make, and I will certainly miss Morrisville and the student-athletes in the program, but I look forward to the next chapter in my career and the challenge that awaits me at St. Catherine.”
