Interim head coach, Kevin Krogol, recently announced Spencer Noyes as assistant coach to the ice hockey coaching staff for the 2012-13 season.

He will be responsible for coaching the forwards and penalty kill situation, along with all facets of the day-to-day operations of the hockey program.

Noyes enjoyed a three year playing career for SUNY Potsdam as a forward where he earned State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) All-Academic Team and Commissioner’s List honors, as well as the 2008 Coaches Award recognizing work ethic and dedication to the program.

While at Potsdam, Noyes was involved in a variety of community service activities and extracurricular clubs and organizations, including the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Prior to playing with the Bears at Potsdam, Noyes was a forward with the Foxboro Stars for a season.

Aside from his playing career, he has been active with camps and clinics, most recently at the Blue Line Hockey School at Morrisville State.

A native of Oneida, Noyes received his Bachelor of Arts degree in environmental studies from Potsdam in December 2011.
