Jelly's sidekick, peanut butter, is churning up some chatter. The popular sandwich staple is debuting six new flavors at the Nelson Farms Country Store.
Just in time for the holidays, consumers can now feast their palates on Dashing Thru the Dough (cookie dough), Jungle Apeel (banana), I Want Smore (smore), I Think My Flax Are Sexy (flax-seed butter), The Dark Side of Things (dark chocolate), and I'm a Sap for Peanuts (all-natural maple).
These tantalizing flavors join the Peanut Principle peanut butter line stocked on shelves along with hundreds of other delectable products, goodies and treasures inside the distinctive store on Route 20 in Nelson. The new flavors complement the Peanut Principle almond, cashew, smooth and crunchy peanut butters already being sold.
Again this year, the Country Store is tailoring gift baskets filled with savory treats and holiday fixes to tempt every consumer.
The festive emporium is brimming with holiday confections, goodies and an array of products produced by local entrepreneurs for sale to the public, including a cheerful bounty of gift basket creations already wrapped and ready to go. Patrons can also custom design their own baskets.
Colorful baskets include an array of Pride of New York local products ranging from jams and jellies and salsas to syrups, barbecue sauces, marinara and gourmet pasta sauces, mustards, dressings, pancake mixes, chocolate sauces, nuts, candy and more.
Consumers can also choose from themed baskets like “Italian Celebration,” packed with homemade pasta, taralles (Italian-baked pretzels), Italian dressing, jars of pasta sauce, dried fruit dipped in chocolate, biscotti cookies and American Vintage Wine Biscuits.
For those who like a spicy treat, the “Holy Hot Holiday” basket is brimming with Nelson Farms Double Apple Hot Sauce, Mama Gena's Hottie Sauce, Nelson Farms' Volcanic Chocolate Sauce, Oh Mama Citrus Hot Sauce, and Heavenly Treats Chipotle Peanut Brittle.
There are others to choose from too including “Breakfast Charmer” and “Fireside Evening.”
Beyond the bountiful baskets, the store is stocked with an array of more than 500 products to delight any consumer, including holiday favorites—old-fashioned ribbon candy and Saratoga Peppermint Pigs.
New additions include Juanita's Sweet Potato Pie, a variety of whoopie pies (peppermint, red velvet, maple, pumpkin and original flavors), and different types of biscotti and granola. There is also a large selection of homemade pastas, coffee, holiday candy, goat soaps and lotions, and bath salts.
Also in stock are mild, medium or hot Slather Sauce, Maple Madness Syrup, Pineapple Salsa, Sweet-n-Spicy Apple Mustard, Apple-n-Spice All-Purpose Seasoning & Rub, and other products produced and marketed by students in Morrisville State College's agricultural business development program.
