NEAC announces 2013 Men's Basketball Tournament Bracket; Morrisville State tops field for second straight season

The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) office announced its 2013 Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament pairings Sunday, with Morrisville State College topping the tournament field.

Morrisville State completed its 2012-13 schedule on Saturday, recording a 19-5 overall record, and 13-2 mark in conference play, claiming the North Division regular season title for the second straight year.



The Mustangs will face the winner of the Tuesday play-in game between Penn State Abington (10-4 NEAC) and Penn State Harrisburg (8-6), Saturday, February 23 at 2 p.m. on the Morrisville State campus.

Penn State Berks, who finished the regular conference schedule with a 11-3 NEAC record, claimed the top spot in the Southern Division and face Wells College (8-7 NEAC), in the second semi-final on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Morrisville.

Winners of the semi-final games will advance to the championship, scheduled for Sunday, February 24 at 2 p.m. in Morrisville.
