The Morrisville State College women’s soccer team dropped their second straight to a conference opponent, losing to Cazenovia College 6-1 Wednesday afternoon.
The Wildcats (3-2-1, 1-1 NEAC) struck early, scoring a goal just 42 seconds into the game when senior midfielder Megan McDermott scored her first of two on the day.
McDermott was one of two that tallied two goals for Cazenovia with Sonni Pank also putting in two. Alicia Priest and Carol McEvoy each scored once for the Wildcats.
Sophomore forward Lindsay Peri (Marathon, N.Y.) scored the lone goal for the Mustangs (0-3-1, 0-2 NEAC).
Morrisville State is back in action this weekend at home against conference rival SUNY IT on Saturday at 1:00 pm on Drake Field.
