Morrisville State women's soccer defeated by Wilson College

Despite outshooting Wilson College 22 to 12, the Morrisville State College women’s soccer team couldn’t find the back of the net and fell 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, the Mustangs drop to 0-6-1 overall and 0-5 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play.

Courtney Bernecker scored both goals for Wilson College with unassisted efforts on each. Her first goal came just over ten minutes into the game, while her second was scored just under five minutes into the second half.

Jennifer Zidzik (Lambertville, N.J.) recorded the loss in goal for Morrisville State, tallying six saves. Katie Murphy earned the win for the Phoenix with 12 saves on the day.

The Mustangs are back on the field Sunday, September 23rd as they travel to College of St. Elizabeth.
