Morrisville State women's soccer adds Simon to coaching staff

Morrisville State College athletic director, Greg Carroll, and women's soccer head coach, Chris Perkins, announced the addition of Hillary Simon to the coaching staff this fall.



Simon enjoyed a stellar four-year career as a member of the elite Nazareth College women's soccer and basketball programs, earning numerous accolades throughout her career while leading the women's soccer program to the Empire 8 finals for four straight seasons, ECAC Championship in 2007 and NCAA Tournament in 2008.



Throughout her time with the Golden Flyers soccer program, Simon was a four-time Empire 8 team selection, earning first team honors in her final three seasons. In 2010, she was named the Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Year, while earning NSCAA East Region Team honors as a goalkeeper.



Success was not limited to the field for Simon, who also collected NSCAA Scholar All-East Team honors twice, ESPN/College Sports Information Directors of America 2010 Academic All-District Team honors while earning a nomination for the NCAA Woman of the Year award.



The Homer, N.Y. native was a nine year participant with the Crown City Futbol Club/EUSA before joining the association as a camp counselor for the past five years.



Simon is scheduled to earn her bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry (concentration pre-med) from Nazareth in May.
