The Morrisville State College women's lacrosse team posted their sixth straight victory Sunday afternoon, topping Wilson College 22-5.
The Mustangs improved to 8-4 overall and 6-0 in the Northeastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) while Wilson College dropped to 2-7.
Shelby Wood (Duanesburg, N.Y.) led the Mustangs scoring six goals while Jamie Anderson (Harpursville, N.Y.) added five. Lesa Ward (South Glens Falls, N.Y.), Erin Rundle (Marathon, N.Y), Alison Falkenburgh (Bayport, N.Y.) and Jessica Young (Clifton Park, N.Y.) all had two goals apiece. Falkenburgh added four assists while Marissa Buchanan (Waterville, N.Y.) had three saves between the pipes to record the win in net for the Mustangs.
Wilson College was led by Jami DeVanie and Jessica Menard who each had two goals while Megan Longstreet added one. Katie Omori had three saves in goal for Wilson.
The Mustangs dominated the game in shots on goal 33-11 and also in draw controls 20-8.
The Mustangs return to the field Tuesday at 4 p.m. against Medaille College on Drake Field.
